When I was a kid, it seemed as though the same two actors starred in all the scary movies: Boris Karloff and Vincent Price. But there was a small problem with that. Neither one of them was particularly frightening. Karloff looked too old and feeble to do much harm, and Price was too soft and effeminate to stoke fear.
