1994 was a pretty good year at the movies. Audiences could enjoy Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and Forrest Gump. Or they could see what was, in my humble opinion, the best film of the year: Hoop Dreams, a sometimes joyous, sometimes sad documentary about two Chicago high school boys who share a dream of basketball fame and fortune.
